The Tosoh AIA-900 Automated Immunoassay Analyzer is a fully automated, continuous random-access fluorometric enzyme immunoassay system designed for laboratories that need mid-volume testing with room to expand. The analyzer processes up to 90 tests per hour and provides the first result in approximately 18 minutes, depending on the assay.
The AIA-900 uses Tosoh AIA-PACK® unit-dose test cups and supports barcoded primary-tube sampling, clot detection, automated pretreatment and assay-specific dilution from 2 to 1,000. Up to ten sample racks, 100 specimens and 192 disposable tips can be loaded.
The 2024 brochure describes four configurations: AIA-900 Benchtop, Loader Model, 9-Tray Sorter and 19-Tray Sorter. Continuous Random-Access Workflow
1. Load Assays
Load the required AIA-PACK test cups directly or use the 9- or 19-tray sorter configuration for expanded onboard capacity.
2. Load Specimens
Place supported barcoded primary tubes or dedicated sample cups in up to ten sample racks.
3. Process Automatically
The analyzer performs assay-specific sampling, dilution, pretreatment, incubation and fluorescent measurement.
4. Review Results
Review patient results and quality-control data, then transmit through the laboratory’s validated analyzer and LIS configuration.
