Accutest® Antibiotic Resistance Standard Multiplex RT-PCR Panels
Accutest Antibiotic Resistance Panels 1 and 2 provide two predefined research-use target menus for antimicrobial resistance molecular research. The panels include beta-lactamase and carbapenemase-associated targets, erm and mecA markers, and additional antimicrobial resistance genes.
RNase P (RPP30) is included as an internal control. Compare the two target menus and available configurations below, then contact Jant’s molecular team to review the appropriate panel for your instrument and research workflow.
ABR Panel 1
18 antimicrobial resistance markers plus RNase P (RPP30) as the internal control.

Frequently Asked Questions
What is the difference between ABR Panel 1 and ABR Panel 2?
ABR Panel 1 includes 18 antimicrobial resistance markers, while ABR Panel 2 includes 20 antimicrobial resistance markers. RNase P (RPP30) is included as the internal control in both panel menus.
How many resistance markers are included?
ABR Panel 1 includes 18 resistance markers plus RNase P (RPP30) as the internal control. ABR Panel 2 includes 20 resistance markers plus RNase P (RPP30) as the internal control.
Does detection of a resistance gene prove phenotypic resistance?
No. Molecular detection identifies the targeted genetic marker. It does not by itself establish gene expression, phenotypic susceptibility or clinical treatment response.
Which formats are available?
The current listing includes full-plate, 96-well-plate and tube formats. Contact Jant with your instrument model and required format so the correct configuration can be confirmed.
Will the panel work with my real-time PCR instrument?
Compatibility depends on the instrument model, block or tube format and available fluorescence channels. Jant’s molecular team can review these details before ordering.
Are the MasterMix and controls included?
MasterMix is included with the panel mixes. RNase P (RPP30) is included as the internal control. Contact Jant to confirm any additional control requirements for your configuration.
How should the panel be shipped and stored?
The panel is shipped on dry ice and should be stored at –15°C to –25°C.
Is the antibiotic resistance panel intended for diagnostic use?
No. This product is offered for Research Use Only and is not for use in diagnostic procedures.
