Accutest® Respiratory Standard Multiplex RT-PCR Panels
Accutest Respiratory Panels I and II provide two predefined research-use target menus for respiratory molecular workflows. The panels share a core group of viral and bacterial targets, with additional targets that distinguish the two configurations. RNase P (RPP30) is included as an internal control.
Compare the target menus and available catalog numbers below, then visit the full product page or contact Jant’s molecular team to discuss the appropriate configuration for your instrument and research workflow.
Two Panel Configurations

Frequently Asked Questions
What is the difference between Respiratory Panel I and Panel II?
The two menus share 22 target entries. Panel I additionally lists Enterovirus D, Moraxella catarrhalis and Pan-Adenovirus. Panel II additionally lists Haemophilus influenzae type b, human rhinovirus, Klebsiella pneumoniae / Klebsiella oxytoca and mecA.
How many targets are listed in each panel?
Panel I has 25 published target entries and Panel II has 26 published target entries. Both menus also include RNase P (RPP30) as an internal control.
Which formats are currently available?
Available configurations include clear and white pre-spotted 96-well and 384-well plates, as well as 100-reaction tube formats.
Will the panels work with my real-time PCR instrument?
Compatibility depends on the instrument model, block or tube format and available fluorescence channels. Jant’s molecular team can review these details before ordering.
Are the MasterMix and controls included?
MasterMix is included with the panel mixes. RNase P (RPP30) is included as the internal control. Contact Jant to confirm any additional control requirements for your configuration.
How should the panels be shipped and stored?
The panels are shipped on dry ice and should be stored at –15°C to –25°C.
Does detection of mecA establish phenotypic resistance?
No. Panel II lists mecA as a molecular target for research use. Detection of a genetic marker does not by itself establish gene expression, phenotypic susceptibility or a clinical treatment response.
Are the Respiratory panels intended for diagnostic use?
No. These products are offered for Research Use Only and are not for use in diagnostic procedures.
