Accutest® Custom Pre-Plated Gastrointestinal RT-PCR Panels
Accutest Custom Pre-Plated Gastrointestinal RT-PCR Panels allow research laboratories to select bacterial, viral and parasitic targets and create a panel around their specific molecular research workflow.
Primers and probes are pre-spotted in each well, and MasterMix is included in the current custom-panel configuration. Panels are available in 96-well and 384-well formats with clear or white plate options.
The currently published Accutest GI assay menu includes the targets shown below. Additional assays may be available upon request.
17 Published GI Targets
Build from Jant's currently published bacterial, viral and parasitic gastrointestinal assay menu, with additional assays available upon request.
96- & 384-Well Formats
Custom pre-plated panels are available in 96-well and 384-well formats with clear or white plate options.
MasterMix & Internal Control
MasterMix is included, and an internal control is included in every well. RNase P is typically used, with B. atrophaeus available if desired.

Frequently Asked Questions
Can I select the gastrointestinal targets included on my custom panel?
Yes. Custom pre-plated panels are configured around the laboratory's selected targets and instrument requirements. The currently published GI menu can be used as a starting point, and additional assays may be available upon request.
Which GI targets are currently published by Jant?
Jant's current GI menu includes 17 bacterial, viral and parasitic targets. The complete published menu is listed above.
How is this different from the Standard Gastrointestinal RT-PCR Panel?
The Standard Gastrointestinal panel uses a predefined 17-target menu. The custom offering allows the laboratory to select targets and develop a configuration around its research and instrument requirements.
Can GI targets be combined with targets from other applications?
Yes. Compatible assays from different application categories may be combined on the same custom plate when the chemistry and cycling parameters are compatible.
Which plate formats are available?
Custom panels are available in both 96-well and 384-well formats with clear or white plate options.
Are the primers and probes already on the plate?
Yes. Primers and probes are pre-spotted in the wells of the custom plate.
Is MasterMix included?
Yes. MasterMix is included with the current custom pre-plated panel configuration.
Are controls included?
An internal control is included in every well. RNase P is typically used, with B. atrophaeus available if desired. Positive controls are available separately, while nuclease-free water is recommended for the negative control.
Which real-time PCR instruments are compatible?
Bio-Rad, qTOWER and QuantStudio systems are confirmed compatible. Contact Jant Pharmacal to review compatibility with other RT-PCR instruments.
What reaction volumes are used?
384-well configurations typically use a 10 µL reaction volume. 96-well configurations typically use 20 µL reactions, although certain 96-well configurations may support 10 µL reactions.
How are custom panels shipped and stored?
Custom pre-plated panels are shipped on dry ice and should be stored at –15°C to –25°C in a constant-temperature, non-frost-free freezer.
What is the minimum order quantity?
The minimum order is 50 reactions when using a 20 µL reaction volume and 100 reactions when using a 10 µL reaction volume.
How long does production typically take?
Typical production time is approximately one week.
Are these panels intended for diagnostic use?
No. These products are offered for Research Use Only and are not for use in diagnostic procedures.
