The BOLT® ELISA & Chemiluminescence Analyzer from Gold Standard Diagnostics is a compact, fully automated, one-plate platform designed to automate ELISA workflows and, with the appropriate configuration, chemiluminescence assays.
The open-system architecture combines sample handling, pipetting, reagent dispensing, washing, incubation, shaking, measurement and result processing within a single benchtop instrument. Laboratories can configure assay protocols through the BOLT software to support compatible ELISA and chemiluminescence workflows.
With capacity for up to 96 primary patient samples, nine reagent positions and high-precision liquid handling, the BOLT provides flexible laboratory automation in a compact format.

The BOLT uses an open-system architecture that allows compatible assay protocols to be programmed and configured through the instrument software. This gives laboratories flexibility to tailor processing parameters to appropriate ELISA or chemiluminescence applications.

High-Precision Liquid Handling
The BOLT uses a precision liquid-handling system with a fixed, washable stainless-steel probe and conductivity-based liquid-level detection.
The system can accurately aspirate volumes as low as 1 µL at ≤3% CV, allowing compatible assay protocols to perform sample dilutions directly within the workflow and helping reduce separate manual pre-dilution steps.

Incubation & Microplate Shaking
The BOLT integrates controlled incubation and microplate shaking within the automated assay workflow. Forced-convection incubation helps distribute heat uniformly across the reaction plate, while the integrated shaker supports reagent mixing during programmed assay steps.

Provides controlled incubation from room temperature up to 40°C.
Uniform heating helps reduce temperature differences between reaction wells that can contribute to plate edge effects.
Microplate Shaking
The integrated microplate shaker supports speeds up to 900 RPM.
Programmable shaking supports consistent mixing of reagents within compatible assay protocols.

The BOLT is available in an ELISA configuration and an ELISA + chemiluminescence configuration, allowing laboratories to select the reader capability appropriate for their testing requirements.
