Accutest Standard STI RT-PCR Panel
The Accutest Standard STI RT-PCR Panel offers a high-coverage, multiplex real-time PCR platform designed specifically for the detection of sexually transmitted infection (STI) pathogens. The assay includes validated primer–probe sets targeting 12 clinically important bacterial, viral, and parasitic organisms. An internal process control is included in every well to monitor extraction, amplification performance, and overall assay integrity.
To accommodate different research environments, the panel is supplied as pre-spotted 384-well plates for automated, high-density workflows, or as tube-based reagents for laboratories that prefer manual assembly. Both formats support streamlined setup and consistent performance.
The multiplex format consolidates numerous STI targets into a single reaction, reducing reagent use and hands-on technician time while increasing throughput compared to singleplex molecular assays or culture methods. Pre-spotted plates eliminate manual oligo preparation, limiting contamination risk and improving reproducibility. Products are shipped on dry ice and stored at –15 °C to –25 °C to maintain stability and lot-to-lot consistency.
The panel accepts purified nucleic acids or direct specimens, with a recommended reaction volume of 10 µL. Standard and accelerated cycling protocols are compatible, enabling flexible run-time optimization for research objectives.

Workflow Overview
The Accutest Standard STI RT-PCR Panel was developed to simplify plate setup and maintain consistency across high-density assays:
- Add MasterMix to the wells or tubes containing pre-spotted primers and probes.
- Introduce direct specimen or purified nucleic acid template.
- Seal, mix, and briefly centrifuge the plate.
- Run the cycling program on a compatible real-time PCR instrument.
The recommended reaction volume is 10 μL for 384 systems and 20 μL for 96 systems, and both standard and fast cycling protocols are supported.
The Accutest® STI RT-PCR Panel detects 12 clinically significant pathogens associated with the majority of commonly encountered sexually transmitted infections, providing broad coverage for molecular STI research applications.
