The Accutest Nail Fungus RT-PCR Panel provides a multiplexed real-time PCR solution for the detection of fungal and yeast pathogens associated with onychomycosis (nail fungus). The panel targets key dermatophytes, yeasts, and molds known to infect the nail bed and surrounding tissue, supporting accurate, rapid, and comprehensive molecular identification in research applications.

Fungal nail infections are among the most common nail disorders worldwide. According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), onychomycosis can be caused by dermatophytes such as Trichophyton species, as well as yeasts like Candida and non-dermatophyte molds including Scopulariopsis and Fusarium. Molecular detection supports research into antifungal resistance, infection recurrence, and differentiation of mixed fungal communities.

Each reaction includes an internal control to verify nucleic acid extraction and amplification, ensuring reproducible results. The panel is available in full 384-well and 96-well pre-spotted plates as well as 100-reaction tube formats, providing flexibility for both high-throughput and low-volume workflows. All products are shipped on dry ice and stored at –15 °C to –25 °C for optimal stability.
